In November 2027 Ben Weber and Erica Stanford set out to ski 2,000 km across Antarctica — Berkner Island to the Ross Ice Shelf via the South Pole, around 120 days on the ice. The expedition is called Polar Dogs, and it needs partners.

What a partnership looks like

Sponsorship packages for Polar Dogs 2027 are being put together now. If your organisation would like to be part of a 2,000 km crossing of Antarctica — on the kit, in the daily dispatches from the ice, and in the talks afterwards — get in touch and let’s talk about what a partnership could look like.

Track record

Solo to the South Pole, 2022–23: 700 miles from Hercules Inlet to 90°S in 57 days, 10 hours and 22 minutes. Greenland crossing, 2022: 560 km east to west. Earlier: the Cross Canada Expedition (south to north in winter), the Auyuittuq Traverse on Baffin Island, 3,600 km by bicycle from São Paulo to Santiago, a winter Land’s End to John o’ Groats, and summits above 6,000 m in the Bolivian Andes.
